Riding for the Son
Chaplains Notes
By Fred Cowan -
A survey revealed that each of us every day looks at one of these.
They come in a
variety of shapes, sizes, and formats.
Most of us subsequently feel reassured.
Given
one in my youth, I can still recall the stern warning,
"break it and you'll have
7 years bad luck!"
Got it yet?
It's simply a mirror. Come to think of it, they're
everywhere -
The Bible doesn't exactly have the word ‘mirror’ in it -
St. Paul makes the same point when he states that we are a 'new
creature' -
This "new life" we have in Christ we are admonished to rejoice
in and reflect upon. With a view to asking the God and Father of us all to refine
and equip us by His grace to more adequately reflect His wonderful working in our
daily walk as His children and witnesses.
Say, when was the last time you reflected
in the manner directed in James 1 v 25.
Heard the old song of yesteryear? "What you are, speaks so loud, that the world can't
hear what you say...?"
Reader, rider, passenger, visitor, or whatever category you
belong to, how say you?
