Meeting - 11th November 2008
Sun 9th Nov 2008 - Park Ave Free Methodist Youth Fellowship. Roy took this meeting getting one of the kids to dress up in biker gear and related this to the amour of God. Then the rest of us all took a few minutes to tell the kids about ourselves and what God means to us.
Ballynure Youth Club: The kids really enjoyed the visit. Many of them took the chance to sit on the bikes and wear the gear before we spoke to them about what we do and why. John G. did an interview with Brian.
Quay Vipers Rally: Another busy time this year again. It was good to meet with our friends from other clubs who we haven’t seen of a while. It was also challenging with quite a few stoping to have a chat. Those who were there for the first time felt blessed to have gone to do this work.
After the rally some thought that maybe there should be a meeting on a Saturday for ones from the different Christian Bike Clubs to meet for prayer and to discuss the way forward with the Holy Joe’s Café. Roy has said that he will be able to attend on the 1st November. It was also hoped that a work party could be arranged over the winter to carryout much needed work on the trailer.
End of season Run: We had a great day with excellent weather and about 30 bikes turning out.
Meeting - 9th September 2008
There was a good turn out of bikes at the Monkstown Baptist Outreach & Family Fun Day.
Quay Viper Rally: We hope to have 4 members on Friday and 4 on Saturday at the Holy Joe’s café. We need some more Biker Bibles for the Quay Viper Rally. We have been told that there is more in storage in England please pray that we will be able to get these over in time. Brian has spoken to one of his customers and they got the Bibles brought over for us. Praise God for answering prayer we must really need these Bible for this weekend.
Meeting - 12th August 2008
It was proposed that over the winter months we look at other things we could do as a club. Some of the things proposed were: Bike Maintenance. First Aid (FBS. First bike on scene) Bike Safety. (bike safe or similar) Track Riding Techniques.
The proposed CMA pool bike was discussed. The bike needs a new engine and insurance.
